- Last year was a much needed vacation from Rausch, so I haven't seen the trails in over a year...hopefully they've remained similar to what they were. I do remember that one stretch of green was definitely a blue due to erosion. There's usually bypasses for any given obstacle and worst case scenario, you can turn around if it's something that looks too knarly.
I was out at Rausch in December. It is still pretty much the same as it was over a year ago. but with a few changes. Trail 19B used to be green, it is really a blue due to the erosion. It has a really nice drop-off that is real easy to get high centered on, but there is a bypass around that drop-off. If you go down to Lake Christy, be very careful about the black mud puddle on the way in. It is now named the Black Hole. The name is fitting. Last time I went down that trail, I slid in and it was a real mess. Took three trucks (two with winches) and about an hour to extract me. I had to shut down the engine to avoid hydro-locking it (good thing, too, as it ingested water into the air cleaner box). The water level inside came to within an inch of frying my ECU. The Five Foot Hole was not living up to its name. Pizza Ramp was back to being Pizza Rock. Other than that, it is pretty much the same. k_enn

If it's "OK" I asked a friend along who may be bringing his JK. He said he would let me know later in the week (depending on his money situation) so put him down for a definate maybe.

Sarge, I think we may have to do that seeing how mixed the rigs are right now. We can decide what we are doing Saturday morning looking at the rigs all together. Maybe start out in one big group and split up along the way, and join back up for lunch? We'll see. - Mudslinger wrote:
- stupid work getting in the way of play time. sorry guys i wont make it, got to work all weekend. I may go up on the 2nd might have some new folks going with us, if anyone wants to join fell free.
Dennis, Oh man, that's too bad. I might take you up on the April 2nd invite as my friend from NY wanted to go on that day too. So maybe the 2 of us can tag along. We'll see. Later, Greg TOYMN8R

| Hey guys. just checking in to let u know that my buddies and i are all still coming and are willing to try just about anything. Two questions/comments: first, for those of u with CB's what channel does the club usually use? i just got mine to stay in contact with yall on the trail and in convoy and im setting it to my favorites. Second: Pattey or Chris are you bringing along your big first aid kit? if so do u need a vehicle to take it in? id be glad to since im wilderness first aid certified. Looking forward to saturday!!!! BUT not the early morning! | |

| We just have a basic kit and yes I will be bringing it. We usually pick a channel when we get there, We usually start in the 20's but depending on traffic will switch to be on a quieter channel.

| Other than a first aid kit, recovery points front and rear, recovery gear, fire extinguisher, full size spare, and maybe a CB; is there any other requirements for the club ride I should be aware of? | |
