SUNDAY WAS GREAT!
We got to the park around 7:45am. Tom (junkyard & sunshine) and his family right behind us. Robby (jeepnkid08)
and Jim (FSJkid90) were already there waiting. In drove Bobby (stagepro) and then Greg (4thehardway) pulled up
with his rig in tow. Someone from NY joined us with his toyota (it was like a little baby one of Greg's! hahaha)
We headed straight for Snakebite and Camelback. Greg and Chris did Camelback while we watched in awe. Then the
whole crew hit Snakebite. Yes, even Tom's Bronco! Everyone did a great job, but by the end of the 1st leg of it, some
were well shaken around by the rocks. Plus at that time, it was about time for us to head back and pick up Doug (92sahara)
at the staging area.
So we did. And as we were going back, Chris' Jeep grew increasingly more rattly. Turns out that the rear UCA bracket
had broken off the frame. So it parked the rest of the day. I hopped in with Bobby and Chris ended up with Doug and Greg.
We left and hit Trail 2, Frog Hole Hillclimb and then headed west down J and over to 10A and then across Rock Creek to 13.
A few of the guys did Smoothie and Milkshake with success for all. As Robby said, 13 was a bit dicey. It was definitely more
washed out than before. NASTY rocks at the one junction where we met 13 at Rock Creek's pass. Robby winched himself
off some nasty rocks and we headed back. (his Jeep looked AMAZING and did GREAT!)
It was time to head back by the time we finishde and get everyone on their trailers and packed up. It was a great day.
(no, my descriptions aren't as detailed as Ken's....but this was my first time, really.....I'll get better!)
