March 26th

I promised Greg I would ride with him in March at RC. Saturday March 26th seems to be the best date for me, what say you Greg? Dennis is in providing he does not need to work that Sat.

I have to point out....and this is all between you guys and you can figure it out....but you're planning a trip on the 26th and our club ride is the following weekend, April 2nd.

I don't care if you make the 26th the trail ride and cancel the 2nd. Just post up. I did that when making the schedule...and said it was changeable. Just be sure to post it up. (I'm staying out of this one)

I cant make that date for april. Best i can do is the 26. If you want you can make it a club run. I just everything fixed so i am going nuts

chris, I am very interested in this trip, but i was wondering if the club would have a problem if a few of my friends, who dont have capable vehicles at the moment , came up in the jeep with me? also i was wondering if two of my friends that have jeeps would be able to join us on the trails.. they have an urge to go but are looking for some people to go with .

SWEET, more takers for the 26th AND the official Club Run! I'm really hoping the 26th will be a nice day, weather-wise...still no roof for me. I went last weekend (3/5/11) and had a good day, but it was a foggy mess there! No breakage, but had to winch myself out in one spot as the 4Runner was high-centered on the rear link with the tire about 2' in the air!

alright i feel really stupid asking this but do i need to bring anything special like tools ( wrenches, hammer etc etc)?

I know i need straps chains etc. and my standard kit now is Highlift + chains/winch kit, snatch strap and 4 shackles, short handled shovel, and firemans axe (the last 2 are because of DNR at assateague ). i was just wondering if i need anything special besides my first aid kit and whats in the jeep now.

NO CHAINS OR METAL HOOKS ON STRAPS

Besides that bring what you may need to fix you Jeep if needed. The park has tools and parts also if in a pinch.

Go to the Rausch Creek website and read the rules also

and your lunch. we picnic on the trails. pack in pack out....have a bag for trash!

KEN! I'M SOOOOO SORRY!!! But no one's schedules were able to make the 2nd happen. I think you were the only one (so far) that was available on the 2nd! I don't know what else to do. I always made it that majority ruled....but we miss you and you're our KEN!!!

Now, as much as we DID change the date to the 26th....Dennis' (Mudlsinger) work schedule is up in the air....and if he is working on the 26th, maybe he'd go up on the 2nd....and Chris can ride shotgun. I know Fred Everly was looking for someone to hook up with on the 2nd also.

We'll be seeing Dennis tonight and ask if he knows his schedule yet. He may not know till it gets closer. We'll see.

got it! i have a real snatch strap.. no hooks and the chains are for the winch kit for the highlift. i never ever use them to pull people out unless its with the highlift!!

and ok. i will throw some basic tools in then.. my farm kit should suffice.

I've had alot going on and haven't been on here in quite some time (or wheeled). Just saw this and love to join you all for my first official Alpha/Omega trail ride Question though, will there be different groups for different trail levels. (I'd be interested in running Greens and Blues) or do we all stay together as a group and just hit the bye passes if need be? Sorry if this has been discussed before. Just call me the newbie

We try to stay together unless the group is too big then split.

chris i sent pattey a pm so she can fill u in but what time would we meet (so we can convoy) and where because i am bringing three friends (got the ok from Pattey) and they want to travel in a group with the club.

That's why I've already decided to skip THIS weekend in favor of going on the 26th. But again, it's all up to Mother Nature, because if it's going to rain that day, then I'm out. If Chris is riding with me, who are you riding with??

And based on who will be going, I think the group will need to be split up at some point. I don't mind running easier trails, but I'm going to want to do some gnarly stuff at some point during the day, as I'm sure Steve will too? Trail "0" is a good one as the entire group can go down the Blue section, and we can play in the Black/Red section.

1: I dunno who I'm riding with.

1.5: Ummm, wear a hat if it's raining, you're not gonna melt.

2: The whole group can decide what it's doing. But, yes, the modified guys are gonna want to do some big stuff. There's only one rig that is smaller than 35's. Everyone may want to stay together and watch the bigger ones, who knows....I'm not making the decision, it'll be everyone who's got rigs that can figure out a plan. I have no problem with splitting after lunch. Up to everyone that shows.
