| We were thinking that it would be a great idea for us to have a club meeting after the 1st of year. This way, we can talk about trail runs and other events/serving opportunites that members would like to participate in during the course of the year.
Sam and I are happy to host this at our house in Abingdon, MD and we will get the food and snacks!
Our friends in Arizona are welcome to participate via phone or Skype!
Let us know what you guys think and dates that would work for you.
Enjoy the Christmas season!

| Yeah...you are right about that. We are open to other ideas as far as location Guess I will have to invest in a conference phone so we can join in everyone!! Another thought is to meet at Rausch (at the restaurant)...maybe wheel 1/2 day and then have the meeting.... | |

| Let's see how many of us our interested in a meeting and then we can try to figure out a location that works for everyone. We have folks in PA, NJ, MD, VA, (and even Arizona) and we want to have as many people join us as possible. | |

| Do we have a map with member locations on it? If we make one, we can see where we are in relation to each other. If we meet in MD, Its a few hours there, and a few hours back for me....heck, Even RC is a coupla hrs each way, but at least there's also wheelin. | |

| Jan 11-15 is the only thing that looks bad, & that's not definite. We’re in between your place and Rausch, so let us know where and when, & we’ll meet you there! If we only do a half day at RC, maybe we can try the cheap side – hate to pay full price for a half day. …or… we could do a Trails Rd. run & meet at the Diner there. That would be free wheelin’, only take a couple hours, & it would be closer to NJ than we’ve ever met for a meeting. Just a thought. - JeepGurl wrote:

| i concur with notlost, trails road run and then meeting or meeting then trail road would be grand, for whatever its worth i could open my house in columbia PA about 45 min from trail road. not sure ifthat would be closer or watnot for others. we could mee, eat(everyone bring something) then talk then roll out. just throwin it out there. | |

| Personally, not a fan of trails road. Even though it may be technically legal, many of the residents, if not all, are not very happy with the wheeling in their "backyard."
As far as a meeting goes, thinking it through, it makes sense to have it in a home as opposed to a restaurant where we can talk and debate items in a more private setting. We want the meet to be comfortable and relaxed and it would be nice to be able to Skype with our folks on the west coast if possible.
I think it might be best to focus on the meeting, instead of trying to fit a club run in at the same time. This way we can really spend time focusing on various club issues/events.
At this point, I just want to get a count of who would like to be included in the meeting. Based on the response, we will determine two dates and put up a poll for a final decision.

| PLEASE remember to let Samantha and Dennis know when a good date/time for you is to be at the meeting. PLEASE narrow down the answers I have seen already to a saturday or sunday. If there's no agreement, we will pick 2 dates and have a poll about it. It's not far from most of you and it's only a couple/few hours of your time.....and the meetings are always fun!!!
Also, the meetings are usually held at a Board Members home. Just a reminder, the board members are: Samantha and Dennis, Mike and Tina, and Pete and Paula in the East and Chris and I in Arizona.
The meeting can/will be held at one of these spots, unless otherwise discussed between the board members.
Keep planning on meeting for wheeling trips...we love seeing you guys making plans together, but for the sake of getting things accomplished, the club meeting need not be a "wheeling event"...I have discussed this with 2/3 of the board and we're all in agreement.

Lol, you can make it 4/5ths now. I only made wheeling suggestions because it had already been thrown out there. As I mentioned, 21 & 28 should be good for us. I suspect it’s no biggie to go into Feb if need be for a good turn out? 4 & 11 look open at this time for us. - Mudslinger wrote:

I had heard that too, but in actually talking to several residents (first time there I knocked on the door of the house at trail head & had a nice chat with the couple & played with their dog) I found out that their beef isn’t with the wheeling, as some of them wheel (and quad/dirt bike) the road as well, their beef is with the muffler less, the littering, & driving down the creek. Ran into several folks walking their dog, playing with kids, etc. & they were always very nice & loved to chat. Told some about the club & how we try to take others trash out (except beer cans – don’t wanna get caught with an open container ), etc. & they were quite grateful. I’m sure there are some that would want us all to go away, especially around hunting season, but in general it’s a good deal. …side track warning… Anyway… everyone show up at the meeting!!!

It is decided that we will have the meeting at a board member's house. Mike and Tina live very close to Dennis so that does not make a difference. Now you are all welcome here in AZ but the airfare may make it cost prohibitive... As to wheeln at the meeting there will be none, unless you happen to go over the curb by accident.... Thanks
