- I need some clarification! Somewhere the words "scenic ride" were used. If that is a true description, I'd like to include myself and possibly my wife. However, if this ride involves anything more than easy "green" trails, that would be breaking my promise to the wife and my Lord.
It just so happens that my granddaughter's soccer team has a "bye" that weekend, so I might be able to convince my wife to come along. It would definitely have to be a hotel for us.
Someone who's been there before and with some knowledge of plans for the group, please let me know if I should consider this. Remember my 05 is bone stock, except for the 31 inch mud tires and nice, shiney chrome wheels (which I don't want to damage). Ed, The worst part would be the mud/dust and occasional stream crossing. Most of the roads through the forest are like green trails at RC. I've seen lots of 2 wheel drive cars back there. You will be on the mountain surrounded by forest. | |

| I am not saying the ride is out for everyone else, but I will not have a weekend off for awhile. I am getting the Sat of the picnic off but after that... The schedule will work out better when my training is over. | |

| OKay....so plan B? Should we have the run at Rausch that weekend? I can be there, but have to ride along with someone. My Blazer barely handles the parking lot. hahaha I think GWNF sounds awesome, but I am not willing to be in VA without Chris for 3 days, or even 2....not on a wheeling trip at least! We can definitely make it a trip next year, or maybe even in October if Chris' schedule lightens up by then. So, unless there is an uprising from some of you that really wantd to go, I am officially canceling the GWNF trip and having this month's trip at Rausch. I know it stinks in a way cuz we're all looking forward to seeing different scenery....but.....it's too long/big of a trip to do without my main man, our wonderful President, Chris. Rausch, however, I know like the back of my hand. What say you? | |

| I was looking forward to riding with you guys again. Not sure if we can make it back up there, but I'll talk it over with Andrea. The Tidewater Four Wheelers are hosting the VA4WDA Annual at Oak Ridge Estate (where they had Camp Jeep), so I may go to that. | |

| Rausch Creek always works for me, I am just not sure if that date is still open for me.
Just remember, September 19 is International Talk Like A Pirate Day. I think it should be a pirate theme for the run.
Arrrrrr.

I will pwn it next time!!!! I am going to order some diff covers next week I hope. I have a golf ball sized divot in the front cover now. :) And I need to find a rear control arm too. Nothing major, or anything that has to be fixed. But I am going to start begging tomorrow. I bought a diff guard (complete with longer bolts) about a year ago that I never had installed. My problem is that I can't remember if it's for the front or rear. So, I've got either a D30 or a D35 diff guard that you're welcome to have dirt cheap, say $10.00 if you can pick it up. Call Ed at (717) 979-0838. |

| Thanks Ed. I am looking at riddle or riddler or something diff cover. But it is also a d44. The one I am looking at has no lip on it, and the bolts are all counter sunk. It seems pretty beefy. Thanks for the heads up though. Good looking... | |

| I have no idea what that even means....but this thread is getting way out off course as far as being off of the subject of who's coming on the trail ride. Here's the information: SATURDAY AND SUNDAY THE 19TH AND 20TH @ RAUSCH CREEKMEET, REGISTER, AIR-DOWN BY 8:30AM (both days) Of course, do not forget your lunch and drinks for the trails. We'll be going to the Goose for dinner saturday. SO, POST UP IF YOU ARE GOING AND WHAT DAY (IF NOT BOTH) Sam and Dennis ~ saturday Ken ~ both days (camping) Pattey ~ saturday Ang and Jeff ~ both days??? (hotel) George and Michele ~ saturday Greg and Terri ~ saturday Keith and family ~ saturday, maybe sunday (hotel)

| Not sure about making it up yet or not.. I managed to do a mighty find job on my front steps with a misplaced suitcase (ok if you REALLY must know, I dragged a carry on up the flight of stairs and ended up tearing up two steps, entirely). My guess is I'll be slaving away with a hammer, having absolutely no idea what I'm doing - but slamming my thumb and about 30 nails into the stairs should do it Will keep ya posted - we just may make Sat. at least! | |
