| …is Thursday, October 28. The application is “in the mail”. They would like to have an idea how many vehicles will be in the parade, though, so if you think you can make it please let me know.
Paula & I will both be in it. It’s probably too late to get a bunch of Club generic business cards with “tracts” on the back??? Rock Candy is about $10/doz, and Pop Rocks are about $8/doz. I found a place that might give discounts to not-for-profits, but it may be too late too. Still pondering different ideas.
PLEASE say someone else can make it! It’ll be fun & the parade is aired on TV so good opportunity to get our name out there. Also, consider it an open invitation – come to our place first & we’ll have some pizza, then “parade” to the parade.

| Well, unfortunately Mike's been notifyed by his work that it's going to be a very busy week that week for them so we most likely are not going to be able to make it. Sorry guys going to have to skip this one but have fun and be safe! We'll definately be there for Jam-A-Jeep and will be there for our sponser family! | |

| We’ll probably leave my place at 6:30-6:45, so it depends on how much you want to eat! At this point, I don’t think I’ll need to get off work early. If anyone thinks you’re going to be pressed for time, let me know, and I’ll get enough pizza for you & you can eat it on the way (about a 15 min drive). Another option, would be just show up at the parade formation point. Depending where you’re coming from it may save you a few minutes, but won’t be as much fun. | |

| I'm off that day. Going to be sure Chris and I are ready to head up late afternoon. What time do you get home? We also can just meet at the parade, but you're right that that's NOT as fun! We'll pitch in for the pizza too. Also, cuz my Jeep (though unbelievably beautiful) is the wimpiest of those of us that are going, I was wondering if you wanted it in front with the club banner on the front and the Tread Lightly banner on the back. Seems logical, as it's not modded yet. I also believe I can have some business cards with just our logo and website on it. Let me know if you want me to get those....then we can work on individual ones. I'm all out of the others. | |

| I don’t think we need an exact count, and if we show up with one or two more or less they shouldn't have a fit. There are other “car” clubs in the parade as well.
I get done at 5:00 but may try to get out a little early that day.
I already confronted the girls about carrying the banner, but one mentioned they’d rather throw candy to the kids. We’ll do whatever we have to, but yeah, bring ‘em both… very cool!!!
Yes, if we can afford to give out cards (maybe even staple tracts to them) that would be great!!

| OK, here’s the word back from the organizers…
Max is 5 vehicles… so far that does’t sound like a problem…
Also, they would like us to do something as far as dress-up, even if its just the head since we’ll be in vehicles anyway (though paula wants me to take the top off – brrrr…).

| Will you have both of yours? Pete AND Paula? Or are you bringing only one?
We've got Mine, Sam/Dennis', Pete's, Paula's? (4)
We'll definitely have something (at least head/face) and I was hoping to find something for the Jeep itself. Utilize the roof rack!

| PS. I had asked 2 other members and they said they might be able to (they're in Red Lion) but not sure. What if we end up with 6....will they freak out? | |

| Not a problem… We only need to take both of ours if we’re short – and for that matter, we can show up with 6, & if they balk, we can leave mine at the staging area. | |

| Pete...please let us know what you need $$wise for the candy (if we're still going that route) I'm still trying to find the tracts I had. We also had small books (I think you saw them....they have the Gospel of John) and I'll see what I can find of those. Also, I can check the local Christian Store to see about bulk tracts there. Michelle and George are in for the parade and Angela and Jeff also. That brings us to 6 if Pete and Paula both use theirs. 1. Pete (TJ) 2. Paula (XJ) 3. Sam and Dennis (TJ) 4. Me and Chris (XJ) 5. Michelle and Geo (TJ) 6. Angela and Jeff (XJ) Steven, we can put you on a list in case someone has to back out. As it is, if they freak out about us having 6, Pete and Paula may have to go down to bringing one. (that stinks) | |

| Just to be clear, I won’t be disappointed if I can’t drive – it’ll be a good thing to have as many members there we can (I could even run around with my coveralls and a big wrench handing out candy and tracts!!). Besides, Steve needs to get his rig together anyway …though, if they do only allow 5 we may have to flip a coin. Anyway, I still say everybody show up & the best dressed can be walkers??? Now the next thing is a count for pizza. …who’s eatin’!? | |

| That's a great idea about walkers handing out candy/tracts.
COSTUMES!!!! Woot!!! Gonna dress Chris up like Charlie Brown! hahahaa Just kidding baby!!! Have to go to the store this weekend and find something!
Are there more people that want to come and just be dressed up and give out tracts?

| Rats, forgot something else…
For those that wouldn’t mind dropping their swaybar links, I was thinking we could take some ramps along and randomly drop them in front of opposing tires during the parade.
I’ve got a pair, but they’re the standard 12” or so. If someone has any that are higher (yet still small enough to put on a dolly in tow), could you bring them?
Otherwise, mine are ready to go!

| We could always find a small car and have dennis crawl over it with his jeep!!! hahahaa
I don't think we have any ramps. Maybe Chris does at work...he could borrow them. I'll ask.
I bought a blow up bat (flying rodent, not the baseball kind) to put on top of my Jeep....but it's not as big as it looked at first. I was going to have Chris all dressed up and sitting on top of my Jeep throwing candy.

| Steven, we'll ALWAYS need you! Why don't you drive it out to our meeting point and then come out in someone else's jeep if we can't squeeze yours in. I must see your face. Hehehe. | |

| Some info and some questions…-Nix the ramp idea – rules say you can’t delay the parade. -No throwing candy from inside the vehicle. In the past short throws have drawn kids into the streets. -My kids want to walk along side and hand out candy; more power to ‘em. Anyone else is more than welcome (that’s what I’m doing if we have enough rigs). -BYOC (Bring Your Own Candy) – we got a bag of tootsie-rolls. We’re also looking for pop-rocks, but haven’t found them yet!! -instead of using expensive business cards, I can just print them on copier paper, and doesn’t have to go on every piece of candy(still have to find out if it’s OK to do that – rules say no pamphlets or tract material). -Be at the staging area at 6:30PM, unless you’re coming to our place first. If you’re coming for Pizza, probably don’t want to be here any later than 5PM; we’ll leave here at 6:PM. -Still need to know who’s coming for pizza so we aren’t short (or eating cold pizza for 4 days). Looking forward to it… it’s gonna be cool! | |
