SUMMER FOOD DRIVE- JUNE 1 2013

Date: Saturday, June 1st, 2013.

Time: 11 a.m. - 3 pm. We should plan on being at the food drive by 9:30-10:00 a.m. to help set-up

Where: Gettysbug Battlefield KIA- 85 V Twin Drive, Gettsyburg PA ( Off of Rt. 30 & 15 behind Battlefield Harley Davidson).

Benefitting the Gettysburg Rescure Mission

It would be great if we could get as many jeeps/4x4's as possible to attend to add visibility to the food drive. Please let me know if you can attend and we can make plans to caravan up together.

I'm planning on attending. I'm guessing we'll meet at the usual park-n-ride off I-83 that morning, just can sleep a little later than one of our RC trips? Gettsburg should only be about an hour+ from the park-n-ride, and we'll be on the east side of town.

Stupid question here, but I'll ask. Should we wash our vehicles before the event? Reason I ask - this is a car dealership right? If a bunch of filthy 4x4s (I'll speak for what mine looks like right now) show up, would that tend to scare business away - or do you think that does not matter?

I think the park-n-ride works. I will confirm with Dennis.

If we plan to arrive by 10 a.m. at the dealership (food drive starts at 11 a.m.), we could probably leave the park-n-ride by 8:30??

Washing the Jeep--that is a good question. I don't think it matters - but the silver one will be washed Perhaps Pete can add his thoughts (although I am pretty sure I know what he will say ).

I'm gonna probably surprise Sam by saying, I'm washing mine. ...though, it is a tough call.

I'm hoping we'll be lining up out by Rt. 30.

Yep!!! I will bring the banners and the tent/table, etc. Just have your business cards!

Washed the outside of mine earlier this week. Can not tell it has been offroad - unless you open the driver's door and wonder where the mud came from; or crawl underneath and wonder where the scratches on the differential came from (Orangecrush knows!).

On a more serious note - is this event getting advertised in PA?

Any problem if we bring our dog (of course, with clean-up supplies)? I think the three of us will go, not sure if we will bring just the Wrangler, or also the Grand.

I wish I could make it but I have my brothers graduation to attend but I will be there in spirit and prayers guys!!!

Not going to be able to make it either - sorry. I'm going to the Adam's show to represent the A/O banner! Have fun though!!!

Mary has to take training Saturday for Cub Scout day camp, so it will just be me and the 1 jeep. See you at 0900.
