| Hey folks, we are going to do a club camping trip September 29-30 at Codorus Park in southern York County of PA. It is a huge place, over 3,000 acres. Samantha and I checked the place out a couple of weekends ago and it looks like a great place with a lot of recreational things to do including several kinds of boat rentals, biking, hiking, fishing, disc golf and even some offroad trails. If you are a resident, it is $23 a night and non-resident $25 a night and only one vehicle allowed on each site. Please, if anyone wants to go, let me know for sure so I can call them and reserve as many sites as we need with in the next couple weeks or so. This will be a lot of fun. Should be perfect camping weather, and probally our last camping trip for the season. ...plus we have a few birthdays around that time too, all the more reason to celebrate with fun, family and friends (who are getting older, ) | |

| Really wish I could do this one, but can't (really . . . I just got this thermarest bag pad I'm itching to try out). But that would make 4 Sundays in a row missing services my church (well two of those weekends I'm planning at being at other churches, including Mountain one Sunday). Maybe next time? | |

| This may be a stupid question but is the $25 per person or per site? | |

Ok, I'm not going, but . . . 1. Not a stupid question. 2. I don't "know" but if you look at state run campsites in MD (like Susquehanna), they run about $23-25 per night for the site and will tell you how many vehicles and campers (people, not trailer RVs) are allowed per site. Compare to commercial sites like KOA (which tend to be more like resorty areas you can put your tent on rather than getting back to nature) - these start around $30/night for primitive tent sites (no water/electric) to over $50/night for pull-through RVs with full hookups (water, 30/50 amp electric, sewer, cable hookups). And they will charge a few bucks (single digits) per extra person above/beyond some base family unit number. The other question you want to ask is if there is a 2 night minimum for a weekend (most campsites require Fri + Sat or 3 nights for a holiday weekend). KOA does this, I believe Susquehanna state park does this. | |

| Thanks for the info GB ! I did look into it and it is a 2 night minimum, or course it was in fine print at the bottom of the bigger writing, and, yes, my eyes are getting old ya know:lol!: (either a friday or sunday night and of course Saturday night) @ $25 per site. So for 2 nights, it'd be $50 for your site. Now they also do have electric sites too, but of course they're more $$. Would anyone want a site with electric? | |

| Denise and I want to go. Even if it's for two nights. LOL. How do we go about paying for the site? Are we gonna caravan up? What are we gonna do there? Yadda... yadda... yadda... | |

| I know they have paddle boats and canoes at different places. The lake is beautiful. We would always see people picnicking by the lake near the band shell. We always kinda just did our thing. But I'm sure I can find a website...I'll post it up as soon as I can find one. Hope you all have fun!!! We'll be thinking about you!!! | |

| MORE INFO: I spoke with a director of the park, and she said for that weekend, September 28,29, and 30, as of right now, Loop A (no electric) is completely empty, all those campsites ARE available! The campsite #'s that are close to the bathhouse and are all clumped together are 32, 33, 34, 35, 36. As of right now we will use 4 of those, Ron and Denise, Mike A., Sam and Dennis, Mike and Tina. The phone # to call to reserve a site and payment is due at that time as well, is 1-888-727-2757. $25 a night for non-PA residents and $23 a night for PA residents. Loop D has some available sites too, it has electric (which is $31 non PA resident /night, $29 PA resident/night) but it is mostly out in the open, no woods. I would say, who ever wants to go, reserve your campsite by the end of the week. There is no timeframe you have to get to your site and the website is www.visitpaparks.com go to Find A Park and then go down to letter C and click on Codorus State Park. You can also reserve your campsite on line too by going to that same website. Also, when you've clicked on Codorus State Park, click on camping, then click on campground map, you'll see the layout of their campsite and the campsite #'s I was referring to. | |

| SO Sorry about the typo RoBBBB! You'll know me, always a jokester Just wanted to see if anyone was paying attention... OK...No, not really, *hangs head in shame* I totally forgot your name, I'm getting really bad with remembering names in my old age I didn't use to be like that when I was younger , but NOW I'll never forget! I will call them first thing tomorrow when they open (the hours for the reservation line is 7am to 5pm Mon-Sat) and give them a heads up that it's A/O members that will be calling for those specific sites for those dates. | |

| First- a great big "thank you" to Tina for setting this all up for the club!!! Second- I have reserved our site (Site #36) for Friday night (September 28th) and Saturday night (September 29th). Please note check in time is 3:00 p.m. If you are planning on arriving after 3 p.m. on Friday, please have them note that on your reservation. If you do not tell them or call the park that day and let them know you are arriving late they may void out your reservation. Check out time is also at 3:00 p.m. Den and I will probably leave a little early on Sunday morning as he has trailer duty for the church! Love you all and can't wait for this trip! | |

| Den and I would be happy to caravan up. I think we are planning to leave Friday after Den gets home from work which is usually around 5:00 or so.

| Hope everyone has a great trip. We'll be cheering on Billy's Bel Air terps Saturday morning - his team has dedicated the rest of the season to him, although he has been cleared to play football again starting next week. | |

| Hey there! I spoke with one of the campground receptionists and she said the trails are for walking/hiking only, not for vehicles . I know some of you were asking. There are lots of other stuff to do too, boating, sightseeing or just chillaxing, but one thing is for certain... you are required to RELAX and/or HAVE FUN **insert camping cartoon face here**. See you there! | |
