PostSubject: Gordon joining in   Gordon joining in EmptyMon Nov 24, 2008 6:54 pm

Hi folks, I am Gordon. I live in Jonesborough, TN - I am a member of 4X4Grace ( www.4x4grace.com ).

I love our Lord, Jesus Christ!

I am a retired aerospace manager, my wife, Beverly and I moved back to her childhood home to spend our waning years. I spent about 20 years in Florida, playing with rockets, and prior to that, I was born & raised in northwest NJ.

We have one son, a wonderful D-I-L, and a new grandbaby, who my wife & I plan to spoil rotten.

I wheel a 1989 XJ, which sports a 6-1/2" lift, 33's, and some misc other pieces or two. We have a number of places here in NE Tennessee, as well as a great park in Harlan, KY that many of us like to go to.

It seems as though our clubs have like missions, and I am pleased to be able to join in with you folks. Thanks for having me.

Welcome, Gordon!!!

Wow, sounds like you've been all around!!! Tell me, were you with NASA? I'm a big NASA goober from WAY back.
I chase around those old Mercury, Gemini and Apollo guys like those people out in Texas chase tornados!!!

We have a member here from Northwest NJ. A couple actually. Although I'm not sure Kenn is that far west. I know
that Greg is. I lived at the Jersey shore for 6 months last year. I loved it.

We're glad you're here and we're glad we found 4x4 Grace. We love our Lord too...and with the fellowship we
receive from fellow Christians and wheelers, we can keep Him our focus. Just like running that race...keep our
eyes on HIM!

Have a super night!

Hi, Pattey

I worked for Lockheed - one of the contractor folks, not NASA - but I did thoroughly enjoy working on the shuttle program. I was a production control manager for the flight OPS side.

I lived in a little town called Long Valley, NJ - western Morris County - lived there until I was 30, then headed to Florida. Met my wife at KSC, she worked for another contractor, United Technologies. She was born & raised here in Washington County, TN, so we made a few plans, stuck with it, and retired here 3 years ago.

I could not live life without Him!

Who'd WANT to?!?!?! cross

My father worked for (and retired from) General Dynamics. It started out as GE Aerospace, then Martin Marrietta,
then Lockheed/Martin, Lockheed, then General Dynamics. Though his office remained in the same building for 35 years!
HAHA!

Yes! Morris county is where Greg and his wife, Teri and their daughter live. We were just talking about it this
weekend on our trail ride. Small world. I spent some time in Kentucky and North Carolina, but that's the extent of my
southern exposure. My NORTHERN exposure was driving myself to Alaska, living there 4 years and driving home.
I found Jesus in Alaska....who knew! hehehe

Welcome Gordon!!

Nice looking rig you have there. I will have to stop over to your site when I can and check it out.

We would love to show you around our park if you are ever up this way. And I know I would love to do some southern wheel'n.

My only exposure to TN was Milligan College. My parents are both Alumi and my sister went there for a semester.

Maybe we can plan a joint venture for Christian Clubs on the east coast in the future. Kind of like Crawl for Christ east.

Chris
