Stupid questions - Harford County (MD) oil recycling

Ok, here are my questions.

1. Does Harford County consider gear lube from differentials to be "motor oil" for recycling purposes (i.e., can I drop off gear lube at the county "motor oil" recycling centers)?

2. If answer to question 1 is "yes" then can gear lube be mixed with regular motor oil, or do I need to collect in a separate container? I have a 3 gallon container I use for oil from generator, snow blower, etc.

3. What about ATF (with respect to questions 1 and 2)?

I'm assuming the difference between motor oil and gear lube is just the gear lube is a heavier fraction than motor oil from a distillation process.

yes, you can mix gear lube and engine oil and recycle it together. it is processed and recycled the same. same goes for atf and diesel fuel. brake fluid and gas are not ok to recycle with oils.

At some recycle centers "ATF" is recycled separately. But go ahead and mix it, nobody will tell.
