recall

toyota pickups from 1995 to 2000 have a recall the frame is rusting in certain spots. take to dealership they check 13 spots on the frame if rusted they will give you 8000 dollars no matter what shape the truck is in. friend at work has 95 with alot of miles and rusted bed they gave him 3x the book price that was 8000 dollars

Nice try, but you also have to prove you held title before the recall was issued.

I know a couple of guys who seriously looked into doing that.

Btw, that recall is real. One of the guys from NIORA had his Tacoma bought back at blue book for a perfect truck, even though he had beat the daylights out of it (to the point where he had to reinforce and weld the frame).
