PostSubject: Junkyard & Sunshine rig story   Sun Jul 13, 2008 6:22 pm

I bought my blue 1980 Bronco in the summer of 1988 it had 109,000 miles on her I was going to be a senior that fall and wanted a 4x4 and my cousin in state collage was selling this Bronco that there salesman was driving me and my went up and looked at it fell in love with it. It needed some work but for $2,500 you don't complain when I went to take it home got in started up and the gas gauge didn't move said I need gas we had to drive ten miles to the closes gas station put in 21.5 gallon in a 22 gallon tank drove it home fix the little things that needed fixed Drove it stock for many years then I needed new springs so I went with 3/4 ton suspension because I used to pull a kinds of trailers with it but that lifted it about 2" at that time than I played around on some dirt roads mud pits with it .
Then one day I blew up the engine so i had Jasper rebuild the engine bore it 30 over and install an RV cam for more low end torque and I installed a heavy duty clutch nothing much has happened except rust control which I am losing the battle with for now. For now I am running 32's the first rock crawling I did with was Rockready on some trails down in southern york then I took it to Rausch Ilove this old thing it doesn't know the meaning of quit right now it is not street legal do to rust problems but it still drives great I am hoping to get a 6 or 8 inch lift for it soon Here are some pictures http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii159/Junkyard_photo/P5130016.jpg
