Is this the same Jeep that leaks oil from the oil pan? If so you might want to either fix that or delete that other post.

OK I think I'm a little calmer about the HEEP!!!

I was told on Thursday that I was to go to NC and attend a Military Training "C" School, well when I found out about that I knew I wanted to drive down...

Well for the 1+ month prior I have been doing maintenance on the Heep... This list of things that needed to be done was sorta big...

After spending a few bucks and a few LONG hours I had the Heep running...

I washed the interior out and changed the oil... while changing the oil I noticed on the opposite side a slow flow of oil coming out of the side of the oil pan... Cleaned it up and finished the oil change...

Packed up and started to leave and thought about the oil that I noticed the night before... Not bad... Drove about 10 miles away to get gas and decided to look under and scratch Shocked Twisted Evil Sad noticed the underside of the Heep covered with oil..

Knowing that I could stop on the way at numerous peoples houses (on here and CC) I decided that it would be a smart thing to drive it home and FLY to NC...

And I'm going to blame the Heep for the worst trip flying down to NC!!! I sat at Philly airport for 8 hours being delayed...
Got in to NC at 0430 on Monday and I arrived to get on my flight at Providence at 1130...

Anyway thats the story...

It sounds like you poked a hole in the pan or blew a piece of the gasket out, either of those are not to bad to fix!!! I fixed a hole in the oil pan of one of the Diesel trucks in the construction company, out on the road using a piece from my tennis shoe and a sheet metal screw cheers

we actually sold the truck that way several years later too
