I have only had this about 2 month now but this is absolutely positively my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. I love it

shortly after this pic on "pizza rock" I got owned. a little bit of highway building was necessary to extricate myself

it is VERY capable, now if only I could get the driver's capabilities to match that of the rig, we'd be pretty dang unstoppable.

I still wanna follow your line most places. It seems to be a decent one. Save for having to count the hitch bumps. I think last time it was about 18.

if it wasnt for the fact that the hitch can take A LOT more abuse than the bumper, I would take the hitch off for wheeling and put the factory rear tow hook on. but I know once I do that, the rear bumper is gonna get destroyed. again, when money allows I plan on getting some sort of bumper/hitch combination but it needs to be something rated to tow with. I know most decent aftermarket bumpers with recievers are "probably" strong enough to handle my 900lb pop-up camper but i really would rather not test it and find out it cant handle the weight. not to mention the liabilty involved if the trailer breaks loose and kills someone.

Yupers, I am in the same boat. I am waiting for Halltrail Fabrication to start in on the tire carrier market. I have already told him what I would like. yeah

yea but a halltrail fab is still not gonna be tow rated. so unfortunately it wont work for me.

I have an aftermarket bumper on my Rubi-U made by a guy in Forest Hill MD (his name escapes me right now), but he told me the reason the aftermarket bumpers aren't tow rated is because of the legalities involved. It's much easier (and cheaper) to just build the thing like a tank (and most are), and make no claim about towing capacity. No claim = no lawsuits. I would not hesitate to tow up to the Jeep's rating (3500# for the LJ) with my bumper and in fact probably have. Stopping 3500# with stock brakes and 35" tires, now that's a different story LOL!

Jeremy Cassidy ( http://www.cassidyscustom.com/ ) Great guy. I got the stinger on mine done there. Does really nice work.

Adam is going to be making some bumpers soon also. Hopefully he will post up about it.
