PostSubject: Valentine's Day Run   Mon Jan 19, 2009 7:39 pm

cloud9

We wanted everyone to bring their spouses that weekend, but it may be cold
and I do not want anyone uncomfortable...so I was wondering if you all are
okay with the Valentine's Day run, or if maybe we should switch our February
run to another weekend so people can do something with their spouses that day.

I got the feeling from most people that they are ok with the run being that weekend.
But I want to be sure that everyone has a chance to come out.

We all want to keep our 'better halves' happy....

....I lucked out that my better half is a wheelin' man, and he lucked out that
I wheel AND think Valentine's Day is a load of baby diapers....

Let me know what you're thinking.

i agree about the VD being a bunch of hoooie... geek
despite that we have tixs to take Grace to Hershey Bear's game that weekend so we couldn't make it groan
if it becomes another weekend, let me know..THANKS!
If not, we'll be there with bells on in March (and maybe Chewie will be a bigger girl by then??)

Mary Ann already asked me if "we could do something" on the 14th. I know she didn't mean wheelin'. However . . . if there were a "sweethearts' dinner" afterward, I might be able to talk her into that!

I don't know what direction everyone might be headed after wheelin, but there is a very nice, inexpensive restaurant (with good food) just a couple miles off of I-81 at exit (not sure if it's 77 or 80--but one of the Hershey exits) on U.S. 22 called "The Crossroads." They might even give us our own room if there were enough of us. JSTTA -- just something to think about.

I am definitely out for Feb. 14. My wife cannot wheel, and I will spend Valetine's day with her. We have special reservations at a restaurant that night. Her favorite place, which is hard to get into.

There is a small chance I might come out on Sunday, but that all depends on Saturday night. big grin

I'm thinking the spousal unit, despite that she actually wheels, would not consider a Valentine's Day off road trip to be romantic.

She DOES consider Valentine's Day to be romantic too...so, despite the hooey, etc...Cupid will be on guard duty that day.

Alrriiiighty then....I am going to run out to the desk (I'm at work) and look at my schedule for February and we'll see what we can do. I'd hate for all of you romantic people to miss a run (and we'd miss YOU) so we'll see what we can pull out.

bliss We want everyone happy. I will figure out what we can do and then post a poll for you kids to vote. Majority rules and if it's 50/50 in the poll, Chris and I will have to do rock-paper-scissors or something. (or figure out when is best for us as far as $$$ goes!)

Stay tuned! strut

OKAY...I HAVE PUT A POLL QUESTION AT THE TOP OF THIS THREAD....PLEASE VOTE IF YOU ARE ABLE OR WANTING TO WHEEL THIS MONTH...AND WE CAN PICK A DATE FROM THERE.

These are the available dates and the majority will rule. If it doesn't matter to you, the 7th is our first pick, as it is a saturday and no one will be missing church.

A couple of the dates are for one day only due to me working the other day. Also, Chris and I thought it worked out well that we did only one day with the weather being so cold and the trails being so icy. I know we can have a blast in one day as much as two!!!

So plese vote and post up any other comments. We want as many of you to make it as possible. If money were no issue, we'd do two runs, but....we all know how that works!!!

None of the dates is convenient, but I might be able to make the one the majority chooses.

UPDATE:

THE CLUB RIDE IS GOING TO BE ON THE 7TH.

It's posted up at Rausch, also.

But I believe that Chris, Mike and Steven plan on taking a non-club run up there on the 21st,
seeing as Mike and Steve cannot make the 7th....so anyone left out of the 7th, may want to look into that.

I will start a new thread about the 7th.

That stinks, kiddo...

....do you and Carla want to join us on V-Day for the date night/Fireproof Movie at church?

If you get fixed by the 21st, you should go with the guys.
