Hello! New to the group! --Out of Plymouth Meeting, Pa

Hey guys, My name is Nick. I am a high school student and own a 87 YJ 2.5L TBI 5speed, but unfortunately I cannot seem to locate many friends that are into the same hobbies as I am into. I Attend Church every Sunday, being raised in a Roman Catholic family. I am currently installing (sometimes with a hand of a great friend Mike who is much older than i am, other times its me, myself and I working on it) a RC 4in suspension lift, 33in duratracs, brakes, brake lines, trans mount, everything else in between, especially the wear and tear items from over the years. Currently fighting with the nutserts in the frame when i dropped my skid plate...frame is a bit thin under there...going to have to think of what to do. the yj set me back and im getting low on funds   . I make my money(yep! its me paying for it all!) working at a small engine repair shop (Mike's Small Engine Repair) and also buying and selling on ebay/craigslist along with silent auctions. Yet, still maintaining great grades in my honors and soon AP classes  .

You're a rockstar doing this project and keeping grades up! I used to work in Philadelphia...pretty close to you. I see you're wearing a TEMPLE shirt...do you want to go there after high school? (it's an awesome college!) I hope you can make it down this way or to Rausch Creek for some of our events! And there's always the PA Jeep Show in July that is close-by. Keep up the great work on that Jeep....and school!!!

Awesome work Nick!  Looks great.  Keep up the hard work in school and in all you do. It will pay off one day! I will send you the membership form.  As Pattey said we have lots of events planned so looking forward to meeting you.  Its a great group!

  

Thank you guys! Its hard to be keeping with with this all, not sure how I am doing it, but I just place it all into God's hands and let it happen the way He lets it.

I plan to have my jeep running and driving in the next couple weeks hopefully! We had found more problems than originally expected. That was quite a set back. The temperature and snow is another setback as i work in a little portable garage/tent from HF with a propane heater. The struggles, right!? ahaha.

I will get the application printed, etc, hopefully this weekend. My jeep is my DD...borrowing my dads 4runner for now to get around to school, etc.

I do not go to Temple unfortunately (Just a shirt   ). I go to Plymouth Whitemarsh High School. As far as my future, I want to go into Mechanical Engineering. Temple was a choice until I found out they did not have much Mech. Enginering.

Everybody at my school just wants to party, go to malls, etc. I am one that strongly dislikes parting, etc. So, my what ever left free time consists of working and wrenching and enjoying nature. I would love to get in some more Bible study!
