| So, as a few of you know, my brakes were acting up; sticking and all. Well, my friend, who's a cerftified mechanic, replaced my left rotor and grease up the front knuckle cause of my calipers sticking. As we inspected the front end, it turns out that the knuckles have little dents/pits in them so the brake pads won't slide properly. I found some replacement knuckles for $118 each. Just wondering if anyone has an extra set thay no longer want. Maybe.... | |

| Jim here, You have me a little confused with the "knuckles" when you say brake problem's and he replaced your left rotor I would wonder why he didn't replace the sticking caliber? They make a rebuilding kit I believe for the calibers, but I would just replace both right and left calibers. The dents/pits you are talking about are these on the "rotors" if so you can get them "cut down" . You can get calibers and rotors for like $25 each so 2 rotors and 2 calibers roughly $100.. and should do new brakes as well . Check out http://www.rockauto.com/Hope this helps | |

| It's definitely NOT the rotors. The tabs that the calipers slide back-n-forth on have dents in them. The calipers are new all the way around. They just aren't engaging properly. And yes, I do have a D-30. | |

| So the 2 bolts that hold the caliber have dents in them? I know they can be lubed with grease to help them move freely. I am sure you can get new bolts, but didn't new ones come with the calibers??? Maybe you use the old one's been awhile since I did my calibers. Still not seeing how you would need new knuckles though?

| Ok, let's try this with graphics. These are the parts that are pitted/dented. I can't grind down the parts within the circles or the calipers will "click". Any ideas now??? | |

| Bring it to me and let me see it. I have a spare Dana 30 sitting here that we can pull parts off of to try to fix your issue | |

| Those dents are common. That's what causes the brakes to drag and to pull to one side under hard braking. | |
