| I'm happy to connect on here and meet a new group. I've got a brand new club brewing. I'm mostly catering to new jeep owners who haven't been off road yet trying to get in tune and learn the ropes. We do have some more experienced wheelers in the crowd and are looking for a big variety of events.
I like the mood of this club keeping in check with the family and the environment. Keep up the good work. I'm trying to promote bringing the family along for our events as well. It just doesn't make sense to leave them at home.
Anyway, I wheel a ten year old TJ Apex. It's been around a while. I put all 170 some thousand on it myself and it's jeep number three for me. I have 33 inch tires under it and take it on a lot of long distance trips. I have a long term goal of wheeling from Alaska to the tip of South America. If anyone has interest in a trip like that give me a shout. It's a couple years away for me if not maybe even three but I'll spend the next couple years getting my jeep ready for the trip. I'm actually building the cage this weekend that also will serve as a storage rack up top. I'll be doing some cross country trips to help get prepared. All are welcome.
I live down in Annapolis near the bridge but I go wheelin in Florida and North Carolina as well. I've just started checking out the more local spots in pennsylvania. I've had some fun with that so far. Grew up wheelin in WV as a kid. No shortage of places back home.
That's a bit about me. Thanks for the invite to join your blog.

| Hi Paul, when you come out towards AZ we would love to show you some wheel'n out here. I like what you are planning with the new Jeep owners. Offroading gets a bad rap most of the time and only we can change that.
Post up some pictures when you can.

| Paul...it was great meeting you at the Jeep Clinic at Mojo! I would love to do a trip like that....just would have to figure out the whole work thing though...
My wife and I love West Virginia. We've been down to different areas and have wheeled at most of them. Like you said, in WV not very many restrictions. Have you been down to Blackwater falls.
Anyway, we are so glad that you stopped in and said Hi! If your folks ever want to join us on one of our Rausch runs you are more than welcome!!

| Thanks for the comments. I will add a photo when I figure out how to do it. I have posted a million photos on our site. I've always been into photography as well. I just say your rock crawling photos from rausch creek. Pretty cool stuff. I always get a kick out of the buggies people build. Pretty creative and tuff equipment rolling around. My big trip from alaska to patagonia i'm still calling my fantasy trip but I actually creep a little closer towards making it a reality almost every month. I've been studying the route and collecting maps. Getting my old jeep ready is on the way as well. I just reworked the rear bumper this weekend and got that completed. I went from a bolt on to welded on. One more step towards making the whole thing as solid as possible for thousands of miles of vibration. The trip will mostly be dirt and mud roads, not necessarily hard core off roading by any means just miles and miles of dirt and mud with even a little snow. | |
