WOUNDED HERO RUN- RAUSCH CREEK - May 11, 2013

Hey gang! Although it is pretty far in the future I want to post up about the Wounded Warrior Run planned at Rausch Creek for May 11, 2013 from 9AM to 4PM.


According to Rausch this off road experience is honoring those who suffered wounds, injuries, or illnesses on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. They are asking for their members to come ride with and for our wounded heroes so that they may be honored, empowered and be able to take their lives back. Donations to support the Wounded Warrior Project.

Dennis actually spoke to a couple of guys from the Wounded Warrior Project at PA Jeeps and they are really excited about this event. Rausch may also be looking for volunteers who would provide a vehicle so some of our heroes can ride along at the event.

I e-mailed Mary at Rausch tonight and this is what she had to say. It shows the respect and opinion people have about our club and what we are about:

Hi Dennis,
Thank you so much for helping us get the word out there about this ride! I
have attached the registration form that needs to be filled out for the
event. If anybody else from Alpha Omega off Road would like to sign up
just let me know and I can email them the form as well. Also attached is
the Rausch Waiver.....if your membership is current don't worry about
signing.
I will be in touch with you as the event gets closer regarding assistance
with the event. In the mean time I ask you for prayer that this event is
successful! I have to say I love your club and what you guys stand for. I
wish The Lord was more present in four wheeling and its community. Your
group is such a breath of fresh air!


Thank you guys for being so wonderful and let's really throw our support behind Rausch and this event. Please let me know if you are interested in participating and I will have Mary at Rausch e-mail you the forms.

WOW, what a nice letter and a great event! Glad you brought it up! Lets 100% put this on our calander of events for next year!

Pattey, mabye you could "rent a Jeep" I think I know of a maroon XJ you can drive (hopefully it'll have a slight lift to it by then)

As for Mary's letter...she's an AMAZING girl and we LOVE her too. Hope this all works out well!!!
We really think it'd be fun to come home for that weekend. Who knows.

I just got my forms from Mary, I'm planning on attending.

I'm planning on coming up Friday night - I made reservation at comfort inn for 10 May. If we are asked to help out, I can get up to RC fairly early on Saturday.

Denise and I are in. It would be a great b-day present for me to wheel with those who serve this great country and maybe have one ride with me!

Although we've always had bad experiences with camping we may give it another try - or just sleep in the Jeep! LOL!

I dropped off my registration and payment this morning at RC. From the RC Facebook page it sounds like Mary would like to start getting more registrations in.

Our registration is in!! This is going to be a great event for such a worthy organization!! I have several applications forms if anyone needs one. Let me know!!

Mary still did want the form, so get a copy and print it and bring it. I stapled a copy of my receipt to it.

Thanks to all who have registered for the ride so far. Rausch is very excited about our participation and has informed us that they want as many of the wounded miliary to ride with us as possible because of the way we conduct ourselves. You guys should all be very proud of the reputation you have built for this club. Thank you!

Let's make sure we have a good turnout so we can provide seats for as many of our vets as possible. If you have not already done so ...PLEASE.... go on line and register for the ride. Make sure you let us know you are going.

I am calling Mary tomorrow. Unfortunatly, Denise will not be able to go because of her recent neck surgery and her upcoming back surgery but both of my boys will be going! Can't wait to go, have been waiting for this forever!!!
