| Sharp looking rig! Good place to start! (the hard doors gotta go, though).
You know, I bet there’s stuff in everyone’s garage that’s collecting dust… …just sayin’.
XJXtian would know – basically stock XJ, crushed Green Ridge’s obstacles, make it look like a drive down rt. 83!

| 31s? Cool, didn’t notice that. Well, JeeperX, rockready, and others are more mech savvy than I, but, as with most things, your next move is dependent on your wallet. Here’s my suggestion, based on your tire size, & if anyone has better ideas, don’t let me send her astray.
If you have $3k lying around: A) I’m jealous B) skip to the next paragraph. If not, use your 31s till you can save up. You can get a 2” spring spacer lift for under $200, I think, & that’ll give you some room for articulating the rocks at RC.
While you wear the tread off your 31s, you can save up for a 4” lift & 33s, or 5-6” lift & 35s. With either of those you’ll probably want some extended brake lines & misc. mechanical alignments. Sounds like you already have family that’s pointing you in the right direction too. That’s nice.
Since I already planted seeds of guilt for folks to rummage through their garages, I guess I’ll start. I have a set of sway bar quick disconnects. I was going to bring them to the York show, but if you’re interested, I’ll ground floor the price & even install them for you.

| So the spring lift would be just a get-by until I could afford a better/bigger lift? And that would be a great deal on the sway bar release too, I'm sure. Can you give me an estimated price via here or PM? I figure I gotta start somewhere. I hate the thoughts of accepting such help from people who don't own me anything, but everyones willingness in this forum is just great! Your help is certainly appreciated.
Oh and btw, I know I totally need to get a set of half-doors for the summer!

| Haha....I thought I was having a "moment" and just couldn't find where they were posted I really like the look of them! Seeing the picture is making me impatient...lol THANK YOU, Chris and Patti, a million times over! What a blessing! I am super excited for the weather to break a little bit and to get some road-time on those doors...lol I think i'm either going overlay them with something or just paint them black (or maybe something weird) until I take them to get them painted to match. Again, I'm disappointed I couldn't make it to the "club run", but I'm sure i will get to meet everyone soon enough. Hopefully, by that point, the doors with be on! | |

| Muddy shot PLUS "New" half doors! I painted them black (myself) for now until I can afford to get them painted to match. I don't mind it at all... I painted the interiors black (plastic spray paint) and they look great. I panicked a little, at first, cause the passanger side door wouldn't latch. It sat up about 1/2 above the latch. I thought I was stuck with a bum door...lol... Luckily, my uncle fixed in in like 5 minutes. I felt like a drama queen...lol... He loosened the hinges on the door and it slipped down in line to latch. I love them!! (As you can see.) [img] [/img] | |

| Honestly, I like the black door – don’t get ‘em painted! Kinda gives the illusion that they’re off, too. If you don’t like the “dusty” rattle can finish, wait till the paint’s cured a month, and buff them with regular car wax. You’ll be surprised how good a shine you can get from spray paint – I was! If you want, I have an electric buffer & a buff & finish pad. We can do dinner again! More importantly, I wanna know where you got the mud from, and how come none of us knew about it!? | |
