| so as everyones wheeling last weekend and this weekend i was busy on my rig due to certian events i couldnt afford to go to serve fest so i figured id do something constructive. i temp mounted the fenders and painted the whole rig yep thats right undercoating it is lol. so far all im waiting on is money to go to elizabeth town to trade the dana 44 drivers drop for a dana 44 pass drop still 6 bolt i need to finish the motor install motor t15 trans and the dana 20 xfercase, start and finish the rollcage, drive shafts etc. i need to install radiator and hoses, wire up gages and ignition system, regear the axles install lockers and do a full brake system build including rear drums to rotors conversion. its a lot of work but i enjoy every sec im working on my jeep. i should absolutely be ready for next yr its looking like i might be getting a job so i might set the rig up with heat and maybe run in the winter once but prolly not heres some pics from the start of the paint job let me know what you think so far. i know there were names submitted and they were good. i need to ask pattey if i can pick a winner but not chose the name to keep it . A friend and i were working on it today and i came up with a name her name is PATCHES | |

| go to rc web site. there is a guy that cut his sides to make them higher. it looks great. its under jeep tech marked 78 cj5 build. scroll down a little. you will see his rockers are cut out and raised. hard to explain. pictures are alot better than trying to talk about it. see if this pic works. http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2400011590103890773JuIqmi | |

I know what you mean about a rebirth...there's something almost spiritual about firing up a rig that was otherwise dead and abandoned....and seeing it roar to life....and have a future again. | |

| so i went a completely different way then decided and here are some pictures of the result got a good deal on trading stuff for this 77 m880 truck and now here are some of the parts in the scrambler. i love having the ability to barter for anything just have to have stuff worth trading. pics of the dodge 318 and the 727 torqueflight trans and np203 xfercase had to widen the leaf spring mounts 4.5 in each way to make room for the 8 lug hd dana 44 front with 4:10's in it | |

| this was still with the amc 20 rear now a dana 60.... and just to make things clear the only money i spent was,on the rig,a new distributor,fuel,u-bolts,spraypaint,cutting wheels and sawz all blades, and a set of dana 44 waggy axles which i didnt use ( but will be paying chris for 2nd week in oct after a job pays me or sooner),and the super swampers. i literally traded and bartered for everything else on the rig so far.......it is possible to create something from nothing all you need is passion a strong will and connections with people knowing people.... so goodbye for now....... | |
