We had like no pics/vids...but Mike shot this one of us when we did a wee rock garden at RC on Saturday (6-5-10)

Very Happy

I'm the LAST truck through.

I am still waiting for the person who took the pictures of me in Black Hole to post them. It was the best/worst stuck I ever had. Ended up slipping into a water hole on the approach to Lake Christy. There was a sign there -- Black Hole -- I thought that was the name and not the rating.

It ended up taking three trucks (two strapped together and strapped to a tree) using two winches the better part of an hour to get me out. By that time, the truck was on close to a 45 degree list (driver side down into the hole) with the water/mud just about up to the hood seam. I shut the engine down in time -- water entered the air cleaner box, but had not yet been sucked into the engine. The water/mud level was about an inch below the fuse block. But the truck was still capable of running once it was extracted and checked out.

As you can guess, I had a lot of fun cleaning out the carpet and driver's seat on Sunday.

LOL

Nothing nice a nice dose of coal dust/clay slurry to freshen up a rig's interior.

cheers Looking good, kiddo! Man, your Xterra is sweet!!! Your tires look like they're getting worn. Are they? I've seen the first X before....I think it was at the PineBarrens last may. Yeah, when we met you finally...he was with your group. Of course I still have a thing for the NextGens...Steven Breslin's (SEXTerraPA) is SICK.

Hope you guys had a great day!

Yeah, they used to be 33 x 13.5/16 LTB's....3 years ago.

Now, they are more like racing slicks with outriggers.

Very Happy

I can't get new one's though now, as they are on a 6 month backorder.

Shocked

LOL

Well, the 6 month backorder will put "Soon" at ~ December 2010 or so at the earliest.

That's waaaaay too long to go w/o rubber.

I've been using my tire groover/siper equipment to keep making tread on the remaining face, but, I have nothing left to groove...one more layer, and I'm exposing cords.

Evil or Very Mad

So, I'll probably have to get a different tire...

sigh

Sad

I liked these because they were affordable, and bullet proof...and paddle wheeled through mud, and were sticky rock wrapping mo fo's with 4 ply sidewalls, etc.

Anything I replace them with will be over $200/tire, and/or not do all that as well.

Of course, these will be dead and useless with no rubber anyway, so, I'll have to bite that bitter bullet sometime soon, and either spend $ I don't have, or end up with tires that don't cut it as well.

I ALSO have no rear shocks...as my wheel travel is now too far to handle w/o making new mounts top and bottom...and the measurements so far for compression and extension of replacements, based on where I need to locate the ends = expensive long travel shocks on custom mounts (Chrome Moly bar on top, to the top of the axle on the bottom...)

LOL

So I'm wheeling on bald tires with no rear shocks until I save up more moolah, and then, fix at least ONE of the deficiencies.

What are they??? I cannot find if you said what they were or not. I loved my Cooper Discoverer STTs. I have Nitto Terra Grappler ATs right now on the rear of mt XJ and some unknowns on front. I am going to see how the grapplers do and possibly buy two more to replace the no names.

Funny, I thought I mentioned it already...

Well, as I obviously forgot to....they are 33 x 13.5/16 Interco LTB's.
