There is a rather large extended family in our church that is really in need of prayers. It seems that every time something decent happens to this family, the devil steps in a screws things up.

Since the first of the year at least four family members have died: The most recent on Thursday of a massivie heart attack (44 year old man) at work. Just a week ago this man's daughter was diagnosed with cancer.

The family are sporadic attenders at our church, and several of the family members do NOT have a personal relationship with Christ.

Several years ago this family nearly had it's home foreclosed due to misuse of funds by one of the three people responsible for making mortgage payments. The church (rightfully or wrongfully) stepped in and bailed them out financially. Now the men of the family are cutting grass, shoveling snow, and doing other maintenance to pay back the loan.

This is a really dysfunctional family with lots and lots of problems. I just ask that you direct your prayers towards their putting their complete trust in the Lord. I won't name them, but the Lord knows who they are.

Prayer said. Prayer support is definitely needed. It is hard enough to keep faith when things are going bad (e.g., Job), but even harder to acquire faith and trust under those circumstances.
