Feb 27th Run to Benefit Missionary

Hey everyone! As I had mentioned in the banner at the top of the page....we are going to have a benefit run for Kevin Warren. He goes to church with Pete (pdlong) and his wife, Paula. When we heard that he was trying to get to Haiti in March, we wanted to be a part of that and help him out all we could.

We plan to take donations, anything you can give, during the February trip to Rausch Creek. Also, if you cannot make the wheeling trip that date but would like to donate to Kevin's trip, you can send a check (payable to Alpha/Omega Offroad) to:

Dear Friend,

Hello from the Warren family. I am writing you on behalf of some fellow friends who have an urgent need that you and I can help with. As you all are aware, people in Haiti are facing some challenging needs and troubles in their lives now. They need all the help we can give: in prayer, financially, our resources and our helping hands. I feel that I have been called to help these friends in need. I say friends because as you well know, I believe that all people are friends to me.

I am asking for you to partner with me and Rainbow Christian Camp as we go to Haiti to help these people in need. At this time I am not sure exactly what I will be doing, but we know we will be doing some medical relief and some demolition and reconstruction in the cities of Port-a-prince and Jacmel. I know that what ever it will be, God will use us to bless all that come across our path at that time. I want to help all those who do not know God and in hopes that I can make a difference in someone’s life.

I am asking you to partner with me on this trip. First, would you pray for me and for the people of Haiti? Second, I am asking that you give what ever you can give to help. I know this is a difficult time in our economy, but any amount would be appreciated. The cost of this relief trip is $1600 and I need to raise my support by March. That’s not much time. Please know that anything that I raise over and above my trip costs will go to Haitian Christian Outreach (www.haitianchristian.org) and 100% of it will go to help the people of Haiti. You may send your tax deductable contributions to Rainbow Christian Camp but do not write in the memo that it is for me. Yeah, we were going to bring it yesterday...
...I haven't skied in 10 years. I just don’t have the same relationship with the snow I used to; pretty much just hate it now.

Anyway, thanks for all the work, putting up stuff at RC, posts on the site, etc. I know Kevin appreciates it. Those still interested in making a donation – it’s not too late. Because of the false arrest of the missionaries in Haiti, Kevin’s trip has been postponed until April.

I’ll keep you all posted. Thanks again.

Well, after all the different causes of delay, including the government crackdown, Kevin was finally able to get to Haiti!

Kevin said that he would come to one of our business meetings and give a presentation if we like. In the meantime he gave me a disk with photos.
