August 22/23 Weekend

If I have the dates right, the last round of the RC Rocks competition is August 22. I am thinking very favorably about heading there on Saturday to watch the competition, and do some wheeling on Sunday. Before I ask around my other clubs, is there any interest here in going wheeling on the 23rd?

Chris and I are judging the comp on saturday and we can wheel on sunday.

COME SEE THE COMPETITION AND HAVE A GREAT DAY AT THE PARK!

One thing....we do not want to lead. We lead every single ride and would LOVE a break.

No problem. I can lead (led a green group and a blue group last weekend). That way I get to control the pace and to select the trails.

That'll be awesome, Kenn. Camping too? We will try to save some spots. I may get up there early on friday afternoon.

Due to having every weekend taken except this one for a club run, this is the best time to get out as a club. The following weekend is the proposed trail cutting with BigRubbers4x4.

So...who else wants to come see the comp, some band action, some fireworks, good food, and friends on saturday and then wheel a bit on sunday??? We'll be doing primarily green and blue trails....unless we have enough black trail people and then we'll split up again.

They could always use more help at Rausch for the competition....so PM us if you want to help out.

We're playing it by ear at the moment...as Chris may be working sundays by then.....but we'll see.

Moi, drunk? Not at a A/O event -- alcohol is a no-no there. (But the A/O event does not officially start until Sunday, so I can have beer Saturday night?).

Camping -- of course. I think I can find your tent, so I will pitch near by.

Also, TJ (from many boards, and RC Rocks judge) may be coming. Although he is cleared by the Dr. to drive, he may not be clear to scramble on the course to judge. It may be a last miniute thing with him.

Jeff will be there for this one. I am pretty torn between a saturday night trip up or a sunday morning trip. Jeff will be up for running greens and blues. Depending on how the day is going he might be down for some blacks if the group does not run through them. We will see.

looking on comming up saturday and wheeling sanday. ill be prolly bring a passenger to go his first time up. trying to convice him to build his jeep. hopefully this throws him over the edge. i would like to do some blacks and if anyone wants to do something like 8 and somestuff over near tombstone and maybe all three of snake bite.
the thing making the trails with big rubbers well the wife and i are going some where for the couple days before the trip for our anniversary. so not enough time to do everything plus leaving the wife right after being together prolly would be a good thing for when i come home.

I am now unsure for this one. Sundays are going to be a work day for me now that I have a Job. I am going to try to get off but... probably not. I will still be there to judge RCROCKS on Sat though.
