I just had a set of rocker panel guards with tube steps installed on my YJ by Skid Row. The tubes are powder coated. What product(s) do those of you with similar tube steps recommend for good footing/traction in inclimate weather?

I don't have anything on mine, but if I did, I think I'd try that black sandpaper-like stuff. It's used for traction on steps. I think it comes in a one or two inch wide roll, and has a sticky backing. Try the hardware store.

What he said. Try grip tape. That's what I have, and it has held up for 4 years and gives good traction.

(Just be careful not to brush you leg against it when you are wearing shorts).

you could use spray on under coating but it might get sprayed on other things though.

Yup Grip tape. You can get big things of it at a skate shop.
