hey there wheelers ! i live in south west PA near waynesburg .... i work on my rig most of the time by my self. i am always looking for some help. i have a 78 cj7 that i want to turn into a rock crawler ... on a low budget. my jeep frame is shot so putting body on a chevy truck frame and gonna run a 350 motor turning 35 swampers on dana 60s. np205 transfercase.

Well, you're about 4.5 miles from Glen Rock and 5 hours from Be Air, MD.....but I DO love road trips!!! Very Happy

well. .... i may just have to take you up on the offer for help. some time this spring early summer ( when it's warmer) we'll have to get a wrenching party started. then i'll come down your way to tear it up on the rocks !

i'll try to get my buddies to get some rigs but ... they are too cheap! haha !! they like thier rally racing and the others are all talk.

i'll do just that ! i'll try to get more parts so we can get as much done as we can.

fair warning ..... my wife does not let people stay here over night that she does not know well ... but there is a motel 8 about 10 miles down the road just off I-79 for those wishing to make it a weekend 2 day deal. i'll provide lunch and dinner

since i just got a promotion at work .... cheers

my work schedule will be changing to 30 days of work and 15 days off ..... groan

so as soon as my new schedule is worked out wit my company i will start setting dates for a wrenching party.

my goals for the party will be:

mount suspention
mount motor and tran/case (355 chevy 400 auto np205) double up with np203 at later date.
fab and mount body mounts
mount body

any thing after that is a bonus ! i'm thinking a 2 1/2 day party. arrive friday .... camp out in my yard or hotel within 10 miles. bone fire .... get to know eachother ..... saturday .... work on rig, sat evening load up atv's to riding , sunday work on rig .... or something like this. got some nice atv trails not far from me.... about 30 minute drive.
can also go 4x4 on them.... mostly mud and hills, we'll see closer to date.

any one interested in bringin atvs to the wrenching party to go ride and let off steam after workin on the rig?

thinkin of july 6 -12 for the wrenching party. what dates are best for you ? week days or weekend ?

got some local guys from pittburgh offroad helpin out also.
