If you're not workin' come warmer weather, I'm retired and a Monday or Tuesday would work great for me. The wife and I have babysitting duties on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and I'd have to co-ordinate with her to get one of those days off. (Thursday almost never works till after 10:00 am 'cause the wife goes to the beauty shop at 8:00 am.)

Question: If body filler, BONDO, or whatever is used, how long does that have to cure before it can be sanded and painted? In other words, for logistics sake, how long will this project take in hours or days from start to finish?

I bought a tow bar last summer with the intention of towing the YJ with my Liberty, but I was told that was not a good idea due to braking issues and the lack of weight in my Liberty. If you'd need to keep the YJ overnight in Greencastle, could I safetly tow it that far with my Liberty? (I still need to get the attachment points for the tow bar mounted on the YJ's bumper.)

aslong as it warm and the longest part is waiting for the paint to dry. filler will take no more the an hour depending the amount of hardner used. i'd say if all is as simple as it looks ... no more then 6 hours to compleation, that my WAG (wild ___ guess).

monday and tuesdays are good for me when i'm off. i work 28 days then off for 28 so aslong as it falls on my 28 days off.... i'll be there.

I haven't posted on this in a while, so here are my plans and questions. My YJ is currently in the process of getting a new SYE and CV driveshaft and also getting rocker panel guards. As I said earlier Mondays and or Tuesdays usually work best for me.

If the Wrangler is back from the garage, Monday, March 30, would work (that Tuesday I have a dentist's appointment). But I question whether the Wrangler will be back by then. Monday and Tuesday, April 6 and 7 are both great possibilities for me. Are either and/or both of you available either of those days?

Am I correct that this work will be done in Greencastle? Will it be inside so that it can be done rain or shine? What would be a good meeting time? Do we want to get the body filler in place and then go to eat lunch (on me of course). WE could then come back and do the finishing work and the painting. I'm a complete newbie at this so let me know your thoughts.

Get back to me on a date.

Saturday, April 4, would also work for me if you guys don't mind giving up a weekend.

P.S. How many 11 oz cans of paint should I purchase?

as of right now .... the first dates would be good for me. my work finnially promoted me ... so my schedule could change at any minute.

as far as paint ... i would say 1 can of sealer primer (sandable) 1 can of color and 1 can of clear coat if you wish.
double check with 79cj first .... i know 8 cans can do a whole jeep.

sat 4 should be good i wont know closer to the date i have plenty of clear and primer and body filler the only thing you would need is paint.
we can fix it at my house or where ever but we will need an air compressor that is big enough to run a spray gun. when you buy the paint you can buy it already mixed and it wont be that expensive 11oz should be plenty

As of now, is Saturday, April 4, agreeable to everybody? If so, what time should we meet up?

Jim, will you be bringing the air compressor?

I need an address in Greencastle? PM me or call me at (717) 979 0838 (cell) or (717) 939-6586 (home).

I was planning on buying the paint at Advance Auto Parts already mixed in an aerosol can. If you want it in a non aerosol container I'll have to look for a supplier.

Jim, isn't Rices Landing in Greene County? Do you know Remo Brtugli who used to, and may still, work for Greene County Weights and Measures?

Ed
